The partnership between Plenitude and CDP Equity JV GreenIT has resulted in an agreement with Galileo to develop eight solar projects in Italy, totaling 140 MW of installed capacity. These projects will be implemented in three different regions of the country, South, Center and North, and are consistent with GreenIT’s strategy to expand its presence and capacity for renewable energy production in Italy. The total planned investment for these projects amounts to €1.7 billion, which contributes significantly to achieving the goal of reaching an installed capacity of 1,000 MW by 2027.
GreenIT, an Italian renewable energy joint venture, focuses on the development and construction of green projects, as well as the repowering of operating plants. Furthermore, the company also has plans to develop offshore wind projects, reinforcing its commitment to promoting clean energy generation in Italy. The partnership with Galileo is fundamental to the success of these projects, as the company has internationally recognized experience in the green energy sector, which will contribute to the development of technologically advanced GreenIT projects. We are excited about the prospect of this agreement with Galileo and believe it will expand our renewable energy activities in Italy and Europe as a whole.
Italy is developing its green energy sector, focusing on strategic partnerships and large investments. The country announced an agreement with JV GreenIT to develop solar and offshore wind projects, with the aim of increasing its installed megawatt capacity and boosting renewable energy generation in its regions.
The PV agreement will involve a total investment of millions of euros, allowing the construction of new plants and the restarting of operating plants. This will contribute to the development of the renewable energy sector in Italy, as well as creating job opportunities and enhancing environmental sustainability.
Offshore wind projects will also play a crucial role in expanding green energy generation capacity. With the participation of the GreenIT joint venture, Italy will be able to position itself as a leader in green energy on the European scene, strengthening its economy and reducing its dependence on non-renewable sources.
The partnership with GreenIT JV is an important milestone for Italy, demonstrating its commitment to the transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy sources. Through initiatives such as these, the country will be able to achieve its emissions reduction goals and strengthen the renewable energy sector, contributing to a more environmentally responsible future.
