Sun and heat to start the week! But the cold doesn’t quite say goodbye on January 13

On Monday, January 13, the National Institute of Seismology, Volcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology (Insivumeh) forecast a warm and sunny environment for much of the country, with mostly clear skies and a few clouds during the day.

However, conditions are expected to change towards the afternoon and evening, as clouds increase in some areas, especially in Petén, the Caribbean region, the northern transverse belt and the eastern valleys.

These areas can experience sporadic short-term rainfall, especially in volcanic areas of the country.

Despite this panorama, Ensifumé confirms that the rain will not be intense or long-lasting, so a radical change in the general climate is not expected on Monday.

Cooler nights in the western and central highlands

Forecasts also indicate that the night hours in the west and central highlands will continue to be exposed to cold temperatures, so residents are advised to be cautious of low temperatures in these sectors, especially during the early hours of the morning.

The rest of the day will remain warm, with pleasant temperatures in most parts of the country, making it ideal for outdoor activities, especially in urban and coastal areas.

These forecasts are characterized by the contrast between warm temperatures during the day and cold temperatures that will continue at night in some areas.
