The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Piaui (IFPI) has included the book “Solar Photovoltaics: Fundamentals, Technological Innovations and Applications” by engineer William Campohe de Oliveira, founder of Célula Energia, as a reference within the educational project of the new technical vocational qualification course in electrician of renewable energy systems.
Based on the successful experience in Vale do Ribeira, the initiative to implement a renewable energy project received a chapter in the book: “Solar photovoltaic energy – fundamentals, technological innovations and applications”. For businessman William Kambuhi. REGISLUZ – Soluções em Energia was cited in the field of off-grid systems (a system separate from the concessionaire) with a project implemented in Jakupiranga. About the course – It will be introduced from 2024 in the Youth and Adult Education Method (PROEJA FIC) at IFPI. Access is made through a selection process.
It lasts for two years in an integrated manner with secondary school, meaning that young people from primary school complete their studies in secondary school along with technical training as an electrician for renewable energy systems. They leave the institute with a professional diploma.
According to Service Bulletin 056, dated August 2023, which established the course, the overall aim is to “train professionals in the installation and maintenance of renewable energy systems, in accordance with current quality, health, safety and environmental legislation and standards”.
Furthermore, the course has specific objectives:
Installation of electrical systems for renewable energy in the most diverse forms of use
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance of renewable energy systems
Link current technical standards and legislation to the need to take responsible and ethical actions with regard to quality, health, safety and environment
Participate in implementing projects, reading and preparing budgets, and implementing electrical power generation systems using renewable energy
The Service Bulletin, signed by the President of the Federal Institute, Paulo Borges da Cunha, presents the book as a source of knowledge and learning in two modules of the course:
Solar PV Basics Module
Solar PV module technology: modules, arrays and cells
“Discussions on reducing greenhouse gases and carbon dioxide emissions, sustainability, energy efficiency and promoting renewable energy sources are becoming larger and more important in all forums and conferences around the world. “Training technical workers in the most diverse fields working in these sectors is of great importance,” Dean highlights in an excerpt from the document.
For engineer William Campohe de Oliveira, the selection of the book for the IFPI course is another step taken by Célula Energia in its mission to spread knowledge about renewable energy throughout Brazil. “The inclusion of the book in the pedagogical project of the course reveals that we are, in fact, disseminating knowledge and providing tools to help train new professionals to work in the solar PV sector. In addition to creating new career prospects for these young people, we contribute to benefiting from clean energy and creating a cleaner and healthier planet.” Sustainability.
