Toyota Electric Truck, Latest Gas-Powered Quadrifoglio: Automotive News Headlines

Toyota is almost ready to launch an electric pickup truck. An electric version of the global Hilux mid-size pickup truck will be launched next year, a senior executive has confirmed, and while it will almost certainly never reach these shores, Toyota has hinted at the launch of an electric Tacoma.

Alfa Romeo has launched special editions of the Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio to mark the end of the vehicles’ run, and the automaker has confirmed that it will be the last Quadrifoglio to feature a gas engine. The Quadrifoglio treatment will not be canceled but will likely be used in the future for electric cars.

Dubai-based W Motors, the maker of the Lykan Hypersport and Lykan Supersport, is back with plans to produce another supercar, this time powered by batteries. The company announced that it will tap UK-based Everrati to supply electric vehicle technology for the supercar.
