Dubai-based W Motors has made a name for itself in the past decade with the launch of a supercar that costs more than a Bugatti and features elements such as diamond-encrusted headlights.
In recent years, the company has expanded to include the provision of light commercial vehicles, including some that operate with electric engines.
It now plans to return to its supercar roots, albeit with an electric powertrain featuring technology from Everrati, a British company specializing in converting classic cars into electric cars, which previously offered an 800-horsepower electric powertrain. Previous W Motors cars Lykan Hypersport and Lykan Supersport offered similar performance using turbocharged flat-6 engines developed by German company Ruf.
The timing of the launch of the electric supercar was not mentioned.

Plans for the car were announced on Monday by W Motors and Everrati as part of an announcement of a broader partnership between the two companies. The partnership will include the supply of Everrati’s flexible and scalable electric powertrain technology for additional W Motors models, including the company’s Ghiath SUV, which will be supplied to the Dubai Police Force and various security companies.
W Motors will in turn become Everrati’s manufacturing partner in West Asia, and will produce Everrati products for the region at a factory under construction in Dubai. An Everrati R&D center will also be established at the W Motors plant.
W Motors is also working with additional partners to establish an electric vehicle factory in Jordan, including the Jordanian Manaseer Group. The vehicles to be built at the plant are expected to include both light commercial and passenger vehicles.
