Wind energy is the majority among the plants to be built in 2023; See country rankings

For comparison purposes, this energy is enough to supply 7.5 million homes for a month. Together, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo have 7.8 million households, according to the latest census.

Rio Grande do Norte tops the rankings. With the operation of 45 new wind farms, the state has increased its power generation capacity by 1,880 megawatts. New factories have been opened in RN every month for the past year.

Bahia was the state with the second largest number of new factories. The 40 stations that were opened between January and December have the capacity to generate 1,297 megawatts.

Sixteen new wind farms will be opened in Piaui in 2023. With a generating capacity of 517 megawatts, it began operating between January and October.

Paraíba and Pernambuco have also acquired wind farms. The nine plants installed in Paraíba in the first 11 months of the year have the capacity to generate 324 megawatts. The three new plants in Pernambuco generate 81 MW and were opened between January and July.
